Summer Sizzles With Night Racing

Canterbury Park racecourse will host a series of summer night races on Thursday nights during January.
With many Sydney trainers eager to increase the fitness of their horses following this year’s Equine Influenza outbreak, night racing will see Sydney’s thoroughbreds begin preparations for the illustrious autumn carnival.
Sydney Turf Club is celebrating the opening night racing meet on Thursday, 3 January with free entry to all patrons.
The annual Canterbury Classic (Listed race over 1100m) will be run on Thursday, 17 January and on Thursday, 31 January, racegoers will not only be treated to a full night of horseracing action, but also the running of the Camel Cup!
Each night race meet features a seven-race program starting at 7pm, with the last race at 10pm.
