Sydney Turf Club

Instant prizes for all at Rosehill Gardens

Date: 10/3/2008 -

Sydney’s Autumn Racing Carnival kicks off this Saturday, 15 March with the running of the Tooheys New Golden Rose at Sydney’s premiere racecourse, Rosehill Gardens.

The $1 million race is the only one to be resurrected from the Sydney Spring Carnival which was decimated when Equine Influenza broke out in August 2007.

The day features Sydney Turf Club’s biggest promotion of the year where patrons will become instant winners just for turning up.

The first 10,000 race day guests will receive an instant scratch ticket on entry, which will reveal one of a number of different prizes.

The prize pool is enormous and includes a 42-inch Samsung Plasma television, Tooheys New merchandise, Nivea Visage gift packs, Cadbury Roses chocolates as well as entry and hospitality tickets to attend the prestigious 2008 Golden Slipper Festival.

Tooheys New Golden Rose Day also features the running of the IAHP Silver Slipper Stakes, an important lead-up event to the world’s richest race for two-year-olds, the AAMI Golden Slipper.

Race goers will be treated to live music and kids’ entertainment including a mini train, jungle gym and jumping castle.
