STC confirms its commitment to TVN

Sydney Turf Club would like to clarify its position on ThoroughVisioN Pty Ltd (TVN) following reports in the weekend press that the Club’s support for the racing television station is waning.
“Sydney Turf Club has been and remains one of the strongest supporters of TVN and nothing has occurred to change our opinion or call into question our support for TVN,” said STC CEO Michael Kenny.
“Neither myself nor any director nor management, spoke to anyone in the press or was asked to comment about the position of STC with TVN nor about our broadcast rights which are contracted to TVN and will remain so contracted.”
Mr Kenny added: “TVN delivers a fantastic service to punters and race fans and we are fully behind TVN and its objectives to expand the reach of thoroughbred horse racing and to keep the control of the most valuable asset we own, the intellectual property in our broadcast signal, firmly in the hands of the race clubs.”
